WebFest is the first social music tour.
It is so easy to join.
- Follow @webfesttour on Twitter.
- Tweet about why WebFest should add you to the tour.
- Get your fans to tweet about why WebFest should select your band.
The ten bands who get their fans to drive the most activity on Twitter will audition for a spot on a national tour with a major headliner, get paid and have the chance to build their fan base.
Here's how your band can join WebFest
1. Follow @webfesttour on Twitter
The first step towards joining WebFest is to follow us on Twitter. And if your Twitter profile's up to date, we'll know who you are, where you are, what your music's all about and how you connect with your fans.
2. Tweet about WebFest, with the hashtag #webfesttour
You need to tell your fans about WebFest, and get them engaged and excited about putting you on tour with WebFest. We'll need to know you're tweeting about WebFest, though, so make sure that every tweet you make about WebFest includes the hashtag #webfesttour. We'll be monitoring those and tracking the tweets you make.
You can get started right here with this Tweet box:
3. Get your fans to tweet their support for you, with both your band name and the hashtag #webfesttour
This is where it gets fun. Encourage your fans to tweet their support for you. Ask them to tweet why you should go on the WebFest tour, and make sure they include your band's Twitter username and the hashtag #webfesttour, so we can keep track of how much action your band sees online. So, for example, you could encourage your fans to tweet something like...
Yo! I want to see @BuildingRome hit the road on #webfesttour!
We'll be monitoring tweet volume around your band, and updating the site daily with new information about who's leading the pack. So get started!
